What We Treat

What most people associate Chiropractic care with is low back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other musculoskeletal type complaints. It is true that good Chiropractic care will provide relief for these issues without the use of prescription medication. What is not as well known is that Chiropractors have provided relief for many other complaints ranging from allergies to constipation. Because your spinal cord provides the communication highway for the brain to control and monitor all functions of the body, and a Chiropractor focuses his/her treatment on the spine, the spinal adjustment of vertebral misalignments (subluxations) has the power to provide relief from all kinds of ailments.

Low Back Pain:
If you have suffered with low back pain, you know how debilitating it can be. It will affect %80 of the population at some point in their life. In Peoria, IL, it is one of the most common reasons for missed work and work-related disability.

Neck Pain: Your neck is a structure designed to support and supply motion for your head. It is very common that vertebral misalignments and muscle cramps cause neck pain and/or stiffness. Many times, this pain and/or stiffness can travel down towards your shoulders or even cause severe headaches.

Headaches: There are over 200 types of headaches and migraines. What they all have in common is that they negatively affect your quality of life. While pain medications can relieve the symptoms, they can have irritating side-effects, tolerances can grow, and they do nothing to address the actual cause.

Mid-back Pain: While mid-back pain is not as common as low back pain, neck pain, and headaches, it still affects many people and can be every bit as irritating.

Joint Pain:  Anywhere you have a joint in your body, misalignments can cause joint pain. Most kinds of joint pain are completely treatable by a good Chiropractor.

Other Musculoskeletal Complaints:  The list is long. Here are a few more common examples that our office has a history of successful treatment: Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Bursitis, Tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Golfer's Elbow, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Hip Pain, Knee Pain, Sprain/Strains, and many more.

Most commonly caused by vehicular crashes, whiplash refers to an injury to the supportive tissue of the neck due to it's rapid acceleration and deceleration. Depending on the supportive tissue involved and the severity of its' injury, the symptoms can range from a stiff neck for a couple days to debilitating pain that can be chronic or even permenant.
